Define each type with its own accrual rule, max-balance cap, carry-forward limit, encashment policy, half-day support, and whether it's paid or unpaid. Per-state defaults available — Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, etc.

Approved leave overrides attendance status. Cancelled leave reverses cleanly.
Auto-credit unused balance to next payroll at the configured rate.
